For our our Passcomm Office in Warrington, we are looking for a Procurement manager to assist the director of operations in rolling out the short- and long-term strategy.

Job description

  • You will assist the director of operations and work with company directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short- and long-term goals
  • You are responsible for all procurement of goods and services to maintain business operations
  • You are end-to-end responsible and effectively manage new and existing suppliers in the UK and overseas, maintaining the long term relationships and take care of periodical business meetings
  • You are an expert in selecting and negotiating the best terms and conditions for the Suppliers in the UK and contract the selected vendors to close frame- or call-off agreements
  • You take care of quality and have a drive for continuous improvement and set up key performance indicators to direct our vendors
  • You are responsible for processing and expediting all purchase orders, checking and approving supplier invoices
  • You are responsible for ensuring all goods and services are compliant with relevant legislation and Quality and Technical requirements

Profile

  • You are qualified in Supply Chain management or related field (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) or qualified by experience in relevant industry
  • You have 5 years industry experience within management, operations and leadership
  • You have strong leadership skills, the ability to engage others effectively and drive change across all levels
  • You have good interpersonal skills and are passionate about Quality & Health & Safety
  • Knowledge of telecoms and fibre industry is desirable

  • You have good knowledge of mechanical & electrical design, materials and engineering principles/processes
  • You are able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • You have an eye for details
  • You have strong communication skills, both written & spoken
  • You take ownership of your projects and are able to take decisions
  • You are flexible to varying demands of a fast-paced environment
