For one of our production facilities in East Flanders, we are looking for a Plant Manager to provide day-to-day operational management of the production site. The plant manager will be responsible for a team of 15 to 20 people producing and assembling electrical meter boxes and accessories. We are looking for someone who is willing to take on a long-term management position on an independent basis.

Job description

You will prepare, organize, direct and supervise work in our production facility
You lead a team of mechanics, warehouse workers and subcontractors, injection molding technicians and administrative staff
You oversee the entire operational operation of the site, including
- Enforcement of company standards, health and safety issues and personnel issues
- Follow up on defined operational procedures and their implementation (use of machinery, use of dies, ISO9000…)
- Overview of preventive and curative maintenance, both of the machines and the site
- Operation of the order process, assembly workshop and warehouse
- Choosing the materials and suppliers used
- Guarding correct budget management and the financial situation
You have close contacts both internally, with sales teams, the Procurement and Supply Chain department, and outside the group with customers
You work to continuously improve the productivity and quality

Profile

You have a master’s or bachelor’s degree with a technical orientation or equivalent professional experience
You have 3-5 years of relevant managerial experience in a production environment
Experience in plastics, plastic machines, raw material suppliers and knowledge of molds is desirable
You have strong leadership skills, the ability to engage others effectively and drive change across all levels
You can work independently, are a team player and result-driven

Voor een van onze productiefaciliteiten in Oost-Vlaanderen zijn we op zoek naar een Plant Manager die instaat voor het dagdagelijkse operationele management van de productiesite. De plant manager is verantwoordelijk voor een team van 15 tot 20 mensen dat elektrische meterkasten en toebehoren produceert en assembleert. We zoeken iemand die op zelfstandige basis langdurig een bestuursfunctie willen opnemen.

Functieomschrijving

Je bereidt het werk in onze productiefaciliteit voor, organiseert het, leidt het en houdt toezicht
Je geeft leiding aan een team van monteurs, magazijnmedewerkers en onderaannemers, spuitgiettechniekers en administratief personeel;
Je overziet de volledige operationele werking van de site, inclusief
- Handhaving van de bedrijfsnormen, gezondheids- en veiligheidskwesties en personeelskwesties
- Opvolgen van gedefinieerde operationele procedures en de implementatie ervan (gebruik van de machines, gebruik van de matrijzen, ISO9000…)
- Overzicht over preventief en curatief onderhoud, zowel van de machines als van de site
- de werking van het orderproces, de assemblagewerkplaats en het magazijn
- Keuze van de gebruikte materialen en leveranciers
- Het waken over een correct budgetbeheer en de financiële toestand
Je hebt nauwe contacten zowel intern, met verkoopteams, de afdeling Procurement en Supply Chain, als buiten de groep met klanten
Je werkt aan het continu verbeteren van de productiviteit en de kwaliteit van de fabriek en haar producten en stelt de nodige investeringen voor aan de raad van bestuur
Je bewaakt de kostenontwikkeling tijdens de productie en toetst de voortgang van het werk aan de planning
Je zorgt voor beoordeling en acceptatie van geleverd werk
Je stuurt de ontwikkeling van nieuwe producten aan: welke producten, de materiaalkeuze, keuze van designers,…

Profiel

Je hebt een master- of bachelordiploma met een technische oriëntatie of gelijkwaardige beroepservaring
Je hebt 3-5 jaar relevante managementervaring in een productieomgeving
Ervaring met kunststoffen, kunststofmachines, grondstoffenleveranciers en kennis van matrijzen is wenselijk
Je hebt sterke leiderschapskwaliteiten, het vermogen om anderen effectief te betrekken en veranderingen op alle niveaus te stimuleren
Je bent hands-on, kunt zelfstandig werken, bent een teamspeler en resultaatgericht
