EAV, an Amadys entity, is the specialist in Belgium regarding the ATEX range and also has customers in the Netherlands and France. EAV’s customers include large refineries, petrochemical companies, the pharmaceutical industry and tertiary sector companies, engineering firms and installation companies. Recently, they also became a distributor of industrial fuses.  In short, EAV are not afraid of a challenge! EAV would like to expand our market to our northern neighbours, which is why we are looking for you!

EAV is looking for an ATEX Technical Sales Engineer for the Netherlands. There are 6 chemical clusters such as Botlek, Chemelot, Delfzijl, Emmtec, Pernis and Terneuzen and all the companies here are in need of commercial support spiced with technical knowledge which you will offer. Atex is about explosion safety and after a fun and intense training course, you will become our specialist!

Job description

  • You will be responsible for representing EAV in the Netherlands. You will build a network and realise growth by proactively investing in new and existing customer relationships;
  • You ensure sustainable customer relations with various players in the ATEX world;
  • You listen and try to respond to the customer needs;
  • You develop a sales strategy focused on the profile of your customers and products to optimise the results of your region;
  • At the start, you are obviously not alone! Over time, you will work autonomously in your region and regularly coordinate with your team members in Belgium;
  • As an ATEX Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in the growth of the company in the Netherlands.


  • You have a HBO or Master degree in a Technical field or equivalent experience in a customer-facing environment;
  • You are independent and persevere where necessary;
  • You inspire confidence in your customers/prospects and know how to convince them thanks to your dynamism, technical knowledge, drive and professional attitude;
  • You are able to prospect smoothly as well as build long-term relationships with customers and communicate in a clear, understanding and professional manner;
  • You follow up on your contacts closely. You keep accurate records and ensure a transparent flow of information between colleagues;
  • You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch & English;
  • Experience with the ATEX world is obviously a plus.
